Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Astartes ("MailBridge", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of MailBridge. By accessing or using MailBridge (the "Service") at mailbridge.website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MailBridge provides email migration between supported email providers. The Service allows you to connect source and destination email accounts, configure migration parameters, and execute email transfers processed by background workers.

MailBridge facilitates the movement of email data. Email content is not stored as product data: messages pass through the system and are delivered to the destination provider. For unusually large messages the message may be buffered temporarily on a migration worker to keep memory bounded, and is deleted immediately afterwards. Our Privacy Policy describes this in detail.

3. Account Registration

• You must create an account to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information during registration.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Connected Accounts and Authorization

• To perform migrations, you must authorize MailBridge to access your email accounts via OAuth.
• You may only connect email accounts that you own or have explicit authorization to access.
• You may disconnect any connected account at any time from the dashboard, which revokes MailBridge's access. You may also revoke access directly from your email provider.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to migrate the data in your connected accounts.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to migrate email from accounts you do not own or have authorization to access.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or access controls.
• Use automated means to access the Service beyond its intended API usage.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties without written consent.

6. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Key points:

• OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
• Email content is not stored by MailBridge as product data, and is never used for advertising or model training.
• Migration metadata (job status, progress, counts) is retained for your review.
• Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Payments

• Some migrations are paid. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Prices are shown to you before you confirm a purchase.
• Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a migration has started processing.

8. Service Availability

• We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service.
• We may perform scheduled maintenance that temporarily limits access. Where possible, we will provide advance notice.
• Migrations are processed by background workers with built-in retry and recovery mechanisms, but we do not guarantee specific completion times.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
• We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred (100) USD, whichever is greater.

10. Email Provider Terms

Your use of connected email accounts remains subject to the terms of service of those providers, including the Google Workspace User Data Policy and the Microsoft Services Agreement. MailBridge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for the policies of Google, Microsoft, or any other email provider.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Astartes. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets except as needed to use the Service.

12. Termination

• You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict of law principles.
